Plenty of powerful jet blast takeoffs today on this final visit to Skiathos Airport for the year. Featuring several Boeing 737s, Airbus A319s an ATR and also a private Dassault Falcon.

NEOS Airlines Boeing 737-800 EI-FLM in special Angry Birds 2 livery seen arriving and departing the small airport on the Greek Island of Skiathos. The special livery was used to promote the upcoming Angry Birds 2 Movie and despite all the hype consists of a few stickers on an otherwise all white aircraft...

Monday 22nd July saw Aviolet Boeing 737-300 YU-ANI make a pretty low approach into Skiathos as it arrived from Belgrade. There's no camera trickery here, no 3 metre poles ;)

There is plenty of Jet Blast in this video brought to you from the island of Skiathos, filmed on "Mad Friday" 19th July we see a good mix of aircraft from several airlines in what was an eight hour session at "Alexandros Papadiamantis" Airport. Filmed at the end of the runway we get waves from some friendly pilots and some strong & powerful takeoffs.

Sprint Air makes their fist visit to Skiathos Airport when their ATR Turboprop, SP-SPE arrives following a flight from Brussels. This was a special charter flight rather than a fully timetabled service.

Airplanes at Skiathos Airport on Sunday 13th May 2018. SAS were the morning arrivals and following a last minute runway change came in "the wrong way". We return in the evening for the two Thomas Cook flights, both were running late but unlike the week before, were not diverted ;)

It's clearly the British Invasion with a large selection of Thomas Cook & TUI Airlines jets. Notable aircraft is a Monarch Airlines/ Thomas Cook hybrid livery A321 (nicknamed Monarch Cook) and an ASL Airlines France Boeing 737 on a flight from Manchester.

Monarch Cook Airbus A321 G-TCVB makes a smooth landing at Skiathos Airport on Sunday 13th May 2018. It was a twilight landing as the flight was running over an hour late due to ATC issues on the continent and unlike the week earlier this one didn't divert ;)

The Monarch Airlines / Thomas Cook hybrid livery makes it's first visit to Skiathos. Airbus A321 G-TCVD made it's first appearance on Friday 11th May 2018 with a flight from Manchester.

Welcome aboard Thomas Cook Airlines Airbus A321 G-TCDK as we make a scenic approach and smooth landing to Skiathos Airport and receive an awesome water cannon salute welcoming the first charter flight of the Summer 2018 season.

Check out the awesome sound of the wake vortexes from a Boeing 757 at Skiathos! Vortexes / Vortices / Wake Turbulence follow the aircraft as they fly and here they can be heard and seen as they whip up the bushes as the planes fly past.

Hellenic Air Force Hercules "746" makes several practice approaches and touch & go landings at Skiathos Airport in some extremely windy conditions.

A fairly quiet day at Skiathos saw just three commercial flights, we begin with the inaugural Arkia flight departing back towards Israel followed by a TUI Airlines UK 737 coming in which was soon followed by one of their 757s. The Hellenic Air Force send in a C130 Hercules too for some practice landings.

Thomas Cook Airlines Airbus A321 G-TCDG is seen making a nice & smooth landing at Skiathos Airport. After the rollout we get a nice & friendly wave from the pilots before they backtrack along the runway towards the terminal.

Thomas Cook Airlines Airbus A321 G-TCDV is seen roaring away from Skiathos Airport on Sunday 07th May 2017. The flight left close to on time and was headed for London Gatwick on an empty sector as this was still the first week of flights to the lovely Island.

Our departure onboard Airbus A321 G-TCDD from Skiathos Airport. It's a very short runway and normally would require a tech stop en-route however as there was only around 30 passengers aboard we could fly direct to Manchester.
